Watch this: 2amt in the 3rd Dimension

Kris Vire, theatre editor at Time Out Chicago, is the moderator. The panel includes Bilal Dardai of The Neo-Futurists and New Leaf Theatre; Eric Ziegenhagen playwright, director, consultant to the Richard Driehaus Foundation; Rebecca Zellar, artistic director of the GreyZelda Theatre Company and David J. Loehr, artist-in-residence and co-producer with the Riverrun Theatre Company and editor of 2amt.

And if you happen to be in Chicago, come on down. It’s at the Edinburgh Stage, 2003 S. Halsted, which is also home to the Fringe HQ and box office. The event is free to the public and even includes a light brunch.

What is 2amt? Thinking outside the black box. It began as a conversation online that grew to include theatre artists, companies and patrons from around the world. It’s a hashtag on Twitter: #2amt. It’s a website: 2amtheatre.com. And it’s growing into so much more…

That’s great, but what is 2amt in practice? It’s a place to ask questions, share ideas, preach to the choir. Better yet, it’s a place to find other choirs you didn’t even know about. It’s a conversation that’s been described as “the verbal equivalent of Red Bull on crack.” It’s a jumper cable for your creative side. 2amt encourages communication, cooperation and collaboration.
